PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Metrolink Greater Manchester’s Tram system runs through the heart of Trafford providing fast and efficient access to and from Manchester & beyond.

If you want to travel by tram, you've got to buy before you ride. There's no way to buy tickets onboard and you'll get landed with a penalty fare if you're caught.

Tram day tickets
With a MetroMax ticket, you can ride the Metrolink as many times as you like. Simply buy from the ticket machines on the day of travel and you're on your way.

MetroMax Family ticket entitles up to two adults and three children to travel with one ticket.

MetroMax Weekend ticket covers travel from 6pm on Friday to the last service on Sunday. www.metrolink.co.uk

Wayfarer Tickets www.Wayfarer Tickets

Wayfarer tickets can be used on trains and Metrolink trams from 9.30am Mon-Fri and all day at weekends and bank holidays. They can be used on buses anytime allowing travel throughout Greater Manchester, parts of Cheshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire, West Yorkshire and the Peak District. Your complete day-travel ticket. Simply scratch off the date that you travel on. You can't buy Wayfarer tickets on board the bus, train or at Metrolink stops get them before you begin your journey from GMPTE Travelshops and staffed train stations
